Event spaces

For business meetings, study days, in-house or clients evenings, gala dinners, fashion shows, product launches, film shoots or private visits, the Palais de la Porte Dorée offers :

  • three large reception areas on the same level, able to accommodate up to 1,200 guests
  • an auditorium with 184 seats
  • four meeting rooms with 20 to 50 people, all with daylight, all fully equipped
  • a 1,400 m2 exterior forecourt, bordered by a landscaped garden
  • a Tropical Aquarium for hosting a cocktail during a private visit, capacity: 150 to 200 people
  • a café and its service providers along with a seasonal summer terrace

Private and guided visits

In addition to private use of spaces, private visits of the Palais, the Museum or the Aquarium and their temporary exhibitions, can be organised in French or foreign languages.

We are at your service and specific themes can be tailored to meet your needs.


The Café du Palais, operated by Picto, is open to the public all year round in the Hall of Honour and on the exterior peristyle. It serves light refreshments.

From May to September, the Palais welcomes a seasonal terrace, Poisson Lune, on its forecourt. A contemporary open-air café for adults and children, attractions, concerts, workshops and encounters are planned throughout the season, linked to event programming at the Palais.
Both spaces can be reserved for private functions, with or without services.

Film and photo shoots

The Palais de la Porte Dorée is particularly well-suited to film and photo shoots due to its style, volumes, practical advantages and situation.

Its vivid Art Deco features (ironwork, frescoes, mosaics, light fixtures, decorative guardrails) or more contemporary elements will appeal to image professionals.

General terms and conditions

Private events are held in the designated spaces, in both daytime and evening, during opening or closing times, based on a specifications list and in accordance with the site’s programme.
