Support for creation
Literature, comics, film: the Palais’s awards and residencies encourage socially engaged contemporary creativity by supporting projects that explore issues of migration, memory and transmission, whilst raising awareness of the importance of preserving biodiversity.
The Porte Dorée Prizes
The Porte Dorée Literary and Comic Book Prizes are awarded annually to a literary work and a graphic work, both in French, which shed light on the realities of exile, migration or multiple identities. Created in 2010 and 2022 respectively, these prizes celebrate authors and artists who, with sensibility and creativity, explore the images, representations and trajectories of migration and otherness through a wide variety of literary and graphic forms.
The Literature Prize
The Porte Dorée Literature Prize is awarded annually to a work of fiction or a literary narrative written in French that explores the themes of exile, immigration, multiple identities or migratory journeys.
The Comic Book Prize
The Porte Dorée Comic Book Prize recognises a socially conscious comic book that resonates with the key issues championed by the Palais de la Porte Dorée: migration, the fight against discrimination, the protection of the aquatic world, biodiversity and ecological emergencies.
