Your visit
The Palais de la Porte Dorée is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and until 7 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Last admissions to the Palais are one hour before closing time.
The Palais is closed on Mondays, January 1st, May 1st and December 25th.
Visiting times can vary according to our programme but we recommend allowing at least 1 hour to visit the Aquarium, and 2 hours to visit the Museum exhibition and the Monument.
Weekends and school holidays are usually very busy periods. To ensure a visit in the best possible conditions, we recommend visiting slots between noon and 2:00 pm or late afternoon.
Our establishment does not have a car park, however we can recommend two public car parks close by: the Porte Dorée car park (57 Boulevard Poniatowski, 75012 Paris) or the Valmy car park (139-154 Rue de Paris, 94220 Charenton-le-Pont), a 15-minute walk from the Palais de la Porte Dorée.
Our visitors can take photos without a flash, except where otherwise indicated, within our visiting areas. Photos and recordings intended for commercial or public use must secure prior authorisation. For any requests, please write to publics@palais-portedoree.fr
Yes, we provide a free cloakroom for individual visitors and groups. It is open from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and until 7:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
Yes, at the weekends and during the school holidays, we offer creative workshops for children. All our workshops can be reserved online.
Staff at the Palais receive regular training on welcoming handicapped visitors. Special amenities provide access to the entire building, and a variety of resources are available to suit each and every need. For more information, visit our dedicated page.
Prices et ticketing
To visit the Aquarium or the Museum exhibition, we strongly recommend purchasing a ticket online, our cashiers are also available so you can buy your tickets on-site (subject to availability).
Visits of the monument are free.

Please note, if you are eligible for free admission, you will still need a ticket to access our spaces, to be reserved online or at the cashier’s desk, subject to availability.
Any visitors wishing to visit the Museum exhibition or the Aquarium must have a ticket, all our admission prices are available online and at the cashier’s desk, subject to availability.
To improve the visitor experience and limit queueing, our tickets are time-stamped with the date and time of the visit. Your ticket allows you to access the visiting spaces at the time indicated but does not allow visitors to cut in line.
Group visitors
For visits of more than 10 people, you must make a group reservation using our reservation form. Depending on age and the space you want to visit, we can offer several options and prices. Reservation is obligatory for all groups, including those eligible for free admission.
You must reserve a self-guided visit using our booking form.
The Palais does not provide audiophones for external tour guides.
