Chairman of the Administrative Board

The public institution is administered by a Board of Directors comprising 22 members. The Board of Directors regulates the institution's affairs through its deliberations.
Since June 26, 2024, the Board of Directors has been chaired by Mr. Thierry Déau, founder, Chairman and CEO of Meridiam.
He succeeds Ms. Mercedes Erra, Executive Chairwoman of Havas Worldwide, who has held this position since 2012.

Chairman of the Advisory Board

The Institution's Steering Committee comprises four colleges with a total of 32 members. It is consulted on the Institution's scientific and cultural projects and its program of activities.
The Steering Committee has been chaired by François Héran, professor at the Collège de France, holder of the chair in “Migrations and Societies,” since January 14, 2020.

He took over from Mr. Benjamin Stora who had carried out this role since August 2014. Mr. Jacques Toubon presided over the Museum’s preparatory mission, initiated in 2003, then the Advisory Board from 2007 to 2014.

General management

• Through a decree dated August 23 2022, Ms. Constance Rivière, was appointed Managing Director of the Établissement Public du Palais de la Porte Dorée, starting September 12 2022. She took over from Mr. Pap Ndiaye, who held this position from March 1st 2021 to May 20 2022.
• Ms. Célia Yakoubou was appointed Secretary General of the Establishment on March 3 2025. She took over the reins from Mariane Saïe, who had held this position since September 2021.
• Mr. Benjamin Béchaux: Director of Communications, Audiences and CSR.
• Mr. Charles-Édouard Fusari: Director of the Tropical Aquarium.
• Ms Isabelle Renard: Director of Conservation and Exhibitions.
• Mr. Vincent Lacaille: Director of Historic Monuments, Real Estate and Security.
• Ms Cécile Vermorel and Ms Alix Vic-Dupont: Co-directors of arts and ideas
• Ms Élise Albenque: Director of economic, institutional and international development
